Pretty little liars summer finale 2013

Holy crap.... I wish I could post a picture of my face at the end of that episode! However, I can't because I sat watching in my pj's without any makeup. For the Halloween episode, I'll be sure to be dressed so that I can display my amazement. Ezra is A, Alli is alive, and red coat is CeCe.... All of this is way to much to find out in one episode! One point at a time...
Ezra is part of the A team/ is possibly A was the biggest shocker of the night in my book. I literally screamed at the TV NOOOOOOO for about 5 minutes. My voice is horse... And no, I'm not kidding! How can Ezra have anything to do with A? He's the nice guy who obviously loves Aria more than the world. Maybe he joined after she ended things? I have no clue, however I can say that I am 99% certain that he has  to be part of the A team after tonight's revelations. He seemed angry when he slammed the closet door that held all of the male black jackets. To me, this means that he knows the girls found his lair. Hopefully the writers are just trying to fool us and keep us guessing until October. My fingers are crossed because I loved Aria and Ezra! And yes, I am against their factual relationship, she is a student and he is a teacher and that is VERY wrong, but on a TV show, I guess it's ok.
Red coat is CeCe... Who didn't see that coming? However, I think everyone was surprised to see that there are two red coats! And we thought we had gotten rid of her after she had fallen. Bu no, as Hannah said tonight "that bitch has 9 lives." She got up, and ran away without the girls hearing her. This seemed a little far fetched to me, but it sure did make the show interesting! Wonder where she went... Is she helping Alison and the creepy old lady??
Since I mentioned the creepy sorority house mother, she turned not to be all that creepy, but rather helpful this episode! She confirmed what we have all been thinking the past 4 years, Alli is still alive!!! I'm guessing that Alli is the one that saved Emily from the chainsaw. Now that we know she is alive, who is the body that the police dug up and said was Alli? Who is actually dead? Maybe the twin sister from the books? Who knows?? All we know now is that it has been Alli that has been looking out for the girls all these years.
We also know that Ezra has been looking for Alli too! This has to be the most intriguing thing about this new A, this A wants to find Alli! Why would Ezra want to find Alli? Could Ezra be board shorts? Ezra did graduate college shortly before entering Rosewood high to teach. Have we ever really heard where he went to school at? Maybe he was in a frat? Maybe it's Alli that Ezra truly loves.
While I, still holding out hope that somehow Ezra is involved with A the way Toby was last season, it's not looking good for my favorite pair on PLL.
One more thing, Toby showed us that Mona was safe and sound, talking to Shawna?? Hmmm, we have never seen them in a scence together before and they looked pretty comfy with each other at the bed and breakfast. This season, I have also been team Mona, hoping that she saw the light and was actually on the Liars side. Again, it's not looking to good for her either!
I thought of something else!! What are Wren and Melissa doing back together?? Was that an airline ticket that Toby found after Shawna dropped it? Wren looks like he is headed out of town, and Melissa is supposed to be overseas. That may be fact, but what does Shawna have to do with any of that? Other than the fact that Shawna, Melissa, and Jenna were seen talking together a while back in season 3. Sure, it seemed as if they were talking about the iconic impending fire, but does that mean that they are working against Alli and for the A team/Ezra? Maybe they are working with Alli... But that's a long shot! It will be interesting to see where they take this storyline! We need answers soon about The Melissa, Shawna, Jenna triangle.... That has apparently added Mona.
As you can see, I'm a PLL junkie! But I really just love TV in general! My shows are: Revenge, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Survivor, and Nashville... and Big Brother!! but I'm also looking into some new shows, like Reign on the CW, and Hostages on CBS. I'm sure there are more that I have forgotten about....I think I'm going to start posting about my favorite TV shows as well as fashion! I'll be uploading pictures Sunday, BTW if what I wore this week!

Outfits of the Week: Teacher workday Week! What I'm wearing!

Hey Y'all!!!

This week is my "official" first mandatory week at school!!!! I am super excited to get back in the swing of things and meet all of my new students. Before the students come back though, we have a week full of teacher work days where I will be going to school and county wide meetings. I am really looking forward to meeting the history teachers across the county :) However, I know that this is a pretty dressed down week. Its not quite professional dress, however I know I shouldn't wear jeans. It's a week that's in between jeans and heels. It took me a while to figure out what I'm wearing this week, however, I think that I have finally finalized the plan! I like the pick out my clothes the Sunday before the start of the workweek on Monday. This saves me SOOOOO much time in the mornings because I am not searching for the perfect outfit! On Sundays, I look at the weather for the upcoming week, and look at the different things I know I have to do that day to determine what I should wear. Here are my outfits for next week's Teacher workday week!

Monday: Freshman Kick-off and Pep Rally! I have on my favorite black ankle twill pants that I got from TJ Maxx! I also have on a top that I purchased from Banana Republic that has an adorable frill detail around the neckline. I got that top on sale for $13. Over the red, I have on a white sweater from Old Navy. For shoes, I have red peep toe flats that I got from target for $20.

Tuesday: County wide faculty meeting! I am wearing J. Crew Royal Blue ankle cut pants, that I got for about $40. With this, I paired a J. Crew sleeveless shirt that has a ruffle detail on the neck. This top was about $35. For shoes, I am wearing my silver Palms, that look like Jack Rogers! I got these for around $13 at Payless.

Wednesday: School Breakfast and Faculty meeting. I have on a salmon/ coral colored sleeveless top from Ann Taylor that I purchased for around $25. I am wearing J. Crew Cream colored khakis that I got off the clearance rack for around $25. I also have on a belt that I purchased from American Eagle years ago! For shoes, I am wearing a Nine West pair of detailed sandals that I got for $30ish.  I have on a necklace that I bought from American Eagle also.
Thursday: Workday with a faculty meeting. I have on a pink tee shirt I bought from Old Navy on the clearance rack ($5). The pants I bought from TJ Maxx, but they are Lilly Pulitzer brand. They are navy twill that I paid about $13!!!!!!!! I have on Sperry Loafers that I got in early spring of this year for about $65. I also have on a long necklace from American Eagle.

Friday: Workday and Football game! I have on a lipstick red tank top that I bought from Belk's years ago! Over top is a holey 3/4 length black shirt I got from Cold Water Creek in June. Off the clearance rack, it was about $15. I put all of that with nice dark high waist trouser jeans from J. Crew. For shoes, I have on another pair I bought from Payless, the brand is X Appeal. The are wedges with black bows on them! I also have on a white beaded necklace from Charlotte Russe.

I hope y'all have a great week! I also hope that I might have helped inspired some outfits! Enjoy!!

YouTube Channel: TeacherKendall AND Goodwill haul outfits

Hey guys!
So, I created a YouTube channel to correspond to my blog! I am so excited! I noticed that there was a real lack in videos on how to dress professionally in your 20's. There are tons of YouTube video's of teenagers featuring look books, drugstore hauls, and product reviews, however, there was nothing for people who were out of college and about to start working. Since I am in my early 20's I want to look professional at work in front of my students but I do not want to loose my style. I also don't to pay much for clothing since I am doing student teaching, and therefore have NO MONEY!! My first video is a Goodwill haul (YAY!) Teachers can find many affordable, brand name professional clothing at goodwill. My YouTube Channel is Teacher Kendall. These are pictures of some different outfits that I made with my amazing finds! I hope that y'all enjoy!

Pink Jacket/ Blazer
This first picture is how I styled my J. Crew pink jacket/blazer. I paired it with a 3/4 white button down (J. Crew) and black twill pants (TJ Maxx). I put a skinny leopard belt (Charlotte Ruse) on for some definition. For shoes, I chose bone colored heels (Nine West).

Royal Blue Turtleneck
This was the Banana Republic top that I purchased in Royal Blue. I put it with the same black ankle pants (TJ Maxx) from above. This top would look great with ANY pair of black pants though! I have a pair of zebra pointy toe shoes (Payless) that I put these with to make the outfit more interesting! However, with black flats or black pumps, this outfit would still rock :)

Capri Pants
Featured here are the Talbots printed Capri pants. Paired with a 3/4 collared white shirt) J. Crew) and a blue scarf, these pants are absolutely adorable! I also put peep toe stiletto slingbacks in a bone color (Nine West) with them.

Sear-Sucker Pants
For the sear-sucker brown and white striped pants (The Limited), I put a red sweater combo with it. I also have on a chunky white beaded necklace (Charlotte Ruse). With brown pumps for shoes, I am classroom ready!

Pink Pants

The pink pants  (Body By Victoria), which were one of my favorite finds, were pretty simple to style! I have on a white sweater with black dots on it (Old Navy) and black pumps (Jessica Simpson).

Hunter Green top
This hunter green shell top was a little harder to style than I thought it was going to be! I ended up pairing it with a pair of taupe colored pants (Ann Taylor) and a Metallic sweater (J. Crew). I accessorized with a bubble necklace (J. Crew), and brown pumps.

Hunter Green Dress
The Hunter Green dress didn't need any help from me since it was so adorable on its own! In the winter I would most likely put it with a denim jacket. I have printed wedges on to complement its dark colors and add a little more fun to the dress!

Black Turtleneck Dress
This is the Black dress from Banana Republic. I love black dresses with bone colored heels (Nine West), and these are very school appropriate. I put on a cute leopard scarf to give the dress a little pop!

I also made a second outfit with this dress! I put on a black sweater that I got at Walmart, then threw on a nude belt. I kept the shoes the same as before! This is a great winter/fall outfit! I also have on a bubble necklace for a little more definition.

Burgundy Sweater Dress
Last, but not least, is the Calvin Klein burgundy sweater dress. I threw on a dark denim jacket with this and a long clear beaded (with a few gold beads) necklace. For shoes, I have on pointy toed taupe heels (Nine West).

I hope that these outfits inspire some inspiration for you!
Love always, K!

PS: I am doing my best to get the video to upload, but my computer is being super slow! Ill keep trying though! Check back tomorrow for an update!

Dress like Kate Middleton on a teacher's budget!

We have all dreamed of being a princess at some point in our lives. Kate Middleton was lucky enough to snag a prince in reality! Since her engagement to the future King of England, she became a style icon across the world! Featured in tabloids and magazines, we have coveted her closet from afar. Now, we can buy from one of Kate's favorite designers at a fairly reasonable price! Banana Republic recently released a line by Issa, that is super adorable! Each of the items even looks like something we could see Kate wearing! These clothes can easily be worn to school and are fun professional wear.
My favorite items are the ponte dresses (pictured in leopard) and the 3/4 sleeve wrap dresses. These are great transitional pieces from late summer into fall. The dress pictured is $133.00, which is ALOT more than I spend on most of my clothes, but having one piece of clothing that was designed by one of Kate Middleton's favorite designer is worth to price tag to me (ONCE)!!
Here is a link to the website! One of these dresses was featured in Marie Claire (July 2013)! Hopefully I will be able to get one before they sell out!

How to wear this season's new Pants (color and print) with what you already have!

Hi Everyone!
After looking over yesterday's post, I realized that finding these new trendy pants was not really the problem that most of us trendy teachers are having! Instead, the issue is putting these new style of pants with things that we already have in our closets. We don't have to spend extra money for dressing up these already adorable pants!

The light Blue polka dot pant:
When wearing printed pants to school, you need to wear a top that is professional, and preferably a solid color. So, with this pair of pants, I wore a white, quarter sleeve button down from J. Crew that I got years ago off of a sale rack. Almost everyone owns a white button down... and if you don't, please go buy one immediately! Most printed pants look great with a simple white button-down, and it ads a little professional appeal to this outfit  Since these pants are straight leg trousers and hit right at my ankle, I chose to wear pointed toe heels. However, pointed toe flats would also look great too! I am just really into pointed toe heels at the moment... they make me feel older! These patent leather white ones are by Jessica Simpson, and I got them off the sale rack for $17.50! Now is the time to buy summer shoes! Most of them look great in the fall and will be great to wear next spring! Back to the main point, when wearing these pants that are cut at the ankle or right above the ankle, pointed toe shoes look amazing paired with them! I was a little dubious at first, but after seeing others wear them together, I tried them on myself and loved the result! The other  thing about this pair of pants is that they came with a great orange belt, adding an unexpected pop of color.

Soild POP of Color pants:
The colored pants I had in three different styles, trouser, skinny ankle and ankle cut.
The first pair are my pink trouser pants, that have a little flare at the end. I balanced out the flare with a fitted top underneath my cardigan. The black tank top is by Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren tank tops are really great for teachers, and others in the professional setting because of how high they are cut in the neck. With this tank top, there is no chance that you will reveal anything! At an outlet, you can get these tank tops for $10-15. The cardigan that I have over this tank top is leopard print that I bought from Forever 21 for $17.50. Its very fitted in the arms and back, but the front is open and flowey. These sweaters became very popular last year, so I know most of you have at least one!
The second outfit is centered around my cobalt blue pants from J. Crew. I paired these with a J. Crew top that is black and white, with a sort of tribal feel. The top has an adorable neck full of ruffles! I like pairing printed tops with colored pants to make the outfit even more amazing! I got this top at the J. Crew outlet and paid $30.00! I'm wearing jack Rogers sandals with these pants, but any cute sandal would look great!
The third outfit is with my skinny ankle Cynthia Rowland Tiffany blue pants. I put these with a black Banana Republic eyelet top, that i got off the sale rack for $13.00, adding a little texture to the outfit. Lace is another fabric that is very in right now, and eyelet is basically an edgier form of that! These skinny leg pants need a top that has a little volume to it, otherwise it would be a Thursday night (with your girls) kind of outfit instead of a trendy one you could wear to school! The shoes I am wearing are black stilettos with white polka dots by Jessica Simpson that I got years ago! I had to add a little pattern to the outfit! But these pants look great with any heel!  Flats don't look as wonderful, but if you have to wear flats while chasing kindergarten-ers, then pointy toed flats are a great alternative!

Next time, I will be posting how to wear the trends in the same post as the trends! I hope that you have found these outfits useful and inspiring! I'll be posting more soon, and hopefully launching some YouTube videos!

Love always, K

Teachers need clothes too... Especially the essential pant

Hello everyone!
As a short introduction, my name is Kendall! I am starting my semester of student teaching in August and I could not be more excited! I am a high school history teacher, and this semester I will be with 9th graders and 11th graders all day long.... which may sound like trouble but I am hoping (and praying) that it won't be!
However, as I was beginning my shopping for school this semester, I started spending money on things for my classroom and desk supplies, like every other teacher in America! We spend tons of money on our students to help them in their learning experience, which we do happily! As I bought paper, pencils, pens, binders, markers, tab dividers... (OK you get the point), I started thinking about what money I would have left to buy some essential clothing pieces. Unfortunately, the answer was: Not much. I love clothes and I love looking cute! But my wardrobe was needing to change to more professional instead of college sorority girl. I love clothes, and I love shopping, so I knew that I had to save money, and buy cheap! The first thing I thought of that teachers really need in their wardrobe is PANTS! Yes, we all have the black and brown trousers, and while there is nothing wrong with those pants, we all need a little print and color in our lives! A way this season to make that statement is with pants, instead of the usual tops and cardigans!
I went through fashion magazines, looking for the things I had to have for my first few weeks of school. I want to look like a teacher, not the students that I resemble, since I am just a few years older than them. Here are my top picks for what kind of pants teachers can afford to jack up their wardrobe this Fall without breaking the bank!

Printed pants:
Printed pants are so in right now! They make a statement telling your, or my, high schooler's that I know whats in style, while still looking like their teacher. These Navy Blue with Black and White Diamond skinny pants I got from Forever 21 for $17.50! They are a very skinny fit, and quite high waist which looks great on my petite frame and gives the illusion of longer legs. The Light blue pants, with white polka dots (top left, second picture) I bought from Target off of their sale rack (designed by Merona! and they came with a cute Orange belt!). Originally these were $27.99!!! They are ankle cut, but not as skinny cut as most of the others.  The navy tweed pants (the top right, 2nd picture), I bought at the local TJ Maxx. These are Cynthia Rowley unlined fitted pants. What makes these special is that they have yet another fashionable statement piece these season: zippers on the bottom of the leg! It's absolutely adorable! The last pair are actually Capri pants I found on sale at Talbots! Right now is a wonderful time to shop the sale racks to find fashionable things that can transfer into the early fall. While I wont be able to wear my cute Capri pants by the end of September, they will look great during the first weeks of school!

POP of Color:
At the beginning of the school year, we all still want it to be summer. Those months of lounging by the pool are over, but we don't have to look like we just fell into fall suddenly and resign to wearing sweaters and dark colors. Instead, take summer into your classroom with bright colored pants! These pants were all the rage in spring, and I'm sure that they will once again be in style for Fall.
These first pair of pants (top left, third picture, below) are a light pink, by Body by Victoria. I have a confession to make about these... I bought them at Goodwill! As I said, saving money while looking amazing is important! If you have the patience to dig through a goodwill to find name brands and styles that you are looking for, you will be impressed! I had never been shopping in a Goodwill until recently, when two of my teacher friends introduced me. Once I started seeing brands like J. Crew, Ann Taylor and Express, it felt as if I had won the lottery! All of these things were just $3-6! Anyway, these pink pants I bought at a steal for $3.95. Seriously... go look in Goodwill.
The second pair of pants (top right) are cobalt blue skinny twill by J. Crew. It's one of my favorite colors and looks great with both black and white, therefore, their purchase was a no brainer! They could easily be worn well into fall and next spring! I got these pants for $50... by far the most expensive thing on my post!
The Third Pair, (bottom left, 3rd picture), are a Tiffany Blue Twill pant. They are very skinny cut and hit right above the ankle (yet another trendy style at the moment!) These I bought at TJ Maxx, and were also designed by Cynthia Rowland.
The final pair of pants are red ankle cut by Sandro Studio. Yet another TJ Maxx find!! The red pant had an explosion of success last fall, and I think that it will make a re-emergence this fall as well. As teachers, we have to buy things that will last a few seasons, and I don't see the red pant dropping off of fashion forecast for a while.

I will start posting other things that are essential to the trendy teacher's wardrobe soon! Dresses, skirts, tops, shoes, and more!
I hope that you enjoyed!
